HOW CAN I HELP?
JOIN THE VOLUNTEER TEAM AT CATHOLIC CHARITIES OF CENTRAL FLORIDA!
Catholic Charities has many on-going volunteer opportunities! Without daily volunteers our
services could not be provided to those who are in need.
We use Office volunteers within our Counseling Programs, Family Assistance Programs, Immigration
and Refugee Services, and ThinkSmart Program. The duties may include filing, fill-in receptionist,
making copies, data entry, assisting clients with intake forms, putting together posters, and
assisting with mail-outs.
Our Food Bank and Food Pantries are primarily staffed by volunteers. Pantry and Food Bank workers
help by sorting, stocking and preparing food packs and toiletry packs to be given out to the hungry
and needy.
Refugee Services serves new immigrants with resettling into the American culture. Our Mentors
and Tutors help the youth and adults to get oriented to the new culture.
Our ThinkSmart Program teaches abstinence to young people ages 12-18. This program is offered in
Orange County Public Schools and after school programs, in addition to private and parochial schools.
The Volunteer Instructors and STARS Club Advisors help teens develop problem-solving skills, conflict
resolution, Cultural understanding, positive character traits, peer mentoring and refusal skills
through peer presentations and activities.
Contact your local Catholic Charities for more information.
You may email, fax or mail the application to your nearest Catholic Charities.
