Immigration Services
Catholic Charities has been providing immigration services to the Central Florida immigrant
community since 1988. The agency is recognized and accredited by the Board of Immigration
Appeals (BIA) as offering programs that provide low-cost immigration counseling and having
the necessary experience and knowledge relating to immigration law and procedures.
In order to become full participating members of our community, many immigrants need assistance
in navigating a very complex and ever changing immigration system A multi-lingual staff of
dedicated attorneys and immigration specialists provide consultations, preparation of immigration
applications and legal representation to more than 3,000 individuals per year.
Professional immigration services include assistance in reuniting separated families,
permanent residency adjustment, work authorization, political asylum, consular processing,
court representation and citizenship.

Refugee Resettlement
For the past 30 years, Catholic Charities has assisted over 10,000 refugees resettle and
begin a new life in Central Florida. Refugees from all over the world seeking a safe haven
in the United States are welcomed into the community and assisted with a place to live
and a job to live by.
Services are provided in a manner to transition the families into a new culture with
an emphasis on early self-sufficiency. Among the services offered are arranging for
housing and basic necessities upon arrival, cultural orientation, orientation to the
community, referral to area English classes, transportation and interpretation to
health care providers, employment counseling and job placement.
