Emergency Family Assistance
The Emergency Family Assistance Program provides assistance to families who are facing
financial difficulties with an unexpected emergency crisis. (Unexpected emergency is a
situation that client could not prevent to avoid the crisis). The program provides short
term financial assistance, rent/mortgage, or utility payments to avoid eviction or disconnection
of services. Each case is evaluated individually. The availability of funds and the guidelines
of the program will determine if any financial and food assistance can be provided. Also
provides information and referrals to other services in the community.
Money management counseling is available for families to organize their
finances and become self sufficient.
The agency convenes groups to study social problems, to network with other agencies,
to plan disaster preparedness and response. Catholic Charities is about people and
